Did you forget me Santa?
I've been a very good hen,
I've tried not to peck my neighbours,
I've laid eggs nine or ten.

I only made a little wish
But sat here in the dark,
I'm not sure that you heard me
And my futures looking stark.

Some people came and grabbed me.
They've stuffed me in a crate,
I'm loaded on a great big truck
I'm not sure of my fate.

I've got some friends here with me,
They made Christmas wishes too,
I hope you heard us Santa
And make or wish come true.

The creaking trailer opens
I open up my eyes.
You did! You heard me Santa!
And what a great surprise!

A cosy coop, and sunshine
and loads of space to run
And best of all a family!
I have a brand new mum
